Sr. Abhaya Murder Case
On March 27, 1992
21 year old Sister Abhaya's body was found in the well of St. Pius X Convent in Kottayam District. She belonged to the St.josephs congreation under the Kanaya catholic diocese of kottayam.
The Preliminary Investigations
Initially, the local police and the crime branch, which investigated the case, said it was a suicide. However, there were widespread allegations that the church played a major role in the homicide. Dissatisfied with the investigation reports an Action Council was formed and they appealed to the High Court for an investigation by CBI. The court ordered for an enquiry by the CBI.
CBI left the case after many indoor dramas including the resignation of Vargeese P Thomas, the then Dep. Supdnt. of CBI ! The conlusion of Indias biggest investigation department was shameful. THe CBI thrice requested the court to write off the case as 'unprovable' due to lack of evidence. Though the special commetie of CBI reported that it was a case of murder, they still insisted to write off the case as they could not go further due to lack of evidence.
Recent Developments
Recently a news paper kicked off the procedures that led to a new awakening in the enquiry. The Express reported with evidence that the orginal chemical examination report of the vaginal smear of Abhaya were tampered. Also it was found the post mortem report of Abhaya too vanished from Kottayam Medical college. The CBI has been odered by the court to do a fresh probe.
dear frnds...
do you think the grave CBI made mistakes in its 1st round of enquries?????
Do you think Sr. Abhaya was Murderd???????
Can we hope some day the culprits will be caught?????
Whose do you think are those "BIG HANDS" behind this foul play?

I also think that the sister was murdered. There is more than enough evidence to suggest a rape and a murder. But I dont think this case will ever be solved or the culprits caught because the church is supporting the culprits and there is no way someone is winning a war against the church.

The CBI can take its time to prove, but this is too much of time they are taking, which indicates the amount of foulplay going on in the background.Anyway I feel its a murder with lot of important people involved in it.

CBI even after the current investigations has not yet given atleast a clue for the case !!
do u think its the inefficency of CBI
or its the planned execution of this crime and the well staged foul plays that still holds it as a mystery ?

Well i think dat a lot of political dirty play is involved in d cover up...........itz not dat d CBI is inefficient...Hw can u call d most formidable force in our COUNTRY as ineffective?? if dey are inefficient den whoz EFFICIENT??

Since the church is involved the truth will never come out.

And finally it has come out...
it was shocking to hear that clergy men were involved in this henious crime to this extent
so guys... do u think its jus a false allegation as the church has nw started to claim

Ofcourse its a false allegation. Once this case is solved another case must be opened against the chruch officials for obstructing justice.

A few weeks back, perhaps a month even, I made a post titled "God vs. ASM" I got several comments -- thanks everyone! -- and some questions. This is one of those. The person who sent me the question prefers to remain anonymous.
First off, God is omniscient -- a latin word, "omni" meaning 'all', and "scient" meaning knowledge same as the word science -- so He does know it's going on.
I don't think the word angry could even describe how God likely feels about this sort of thing. In the Bible, Jesus told a parable about people who feed the poor, and people who don't. (See Matthew chapter 25:31-46) Several other times throughout the Bible, believers are called to compassion. The laws found in the books of Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Numbers required certain acts of compassion. One example was that a farmer was to not harvest the edges of his field, or to pick up any grain that was dropped so the poor could have it.
